A large world was painted in the center of the bare wall. On the left side of the world, the words "Welcome to Earth" were painted, and on the right side of the world the words "Established in 1924" were painted. As you can see in the picture below, the words were painted using huge paper stencils made before the council started painting. Also in this picture, you will see that the stencil with the year on it says 1925. After more in depth research, we realized that Earth was actually established in 1924. So when you see the 4 in 1924, it looks pretty darn good considering Mrs. Lostroh had to free hand it on the spot. Way to go Mrs. Lostroh!
