Coach Jeri Been-Goodman reached a milestone of 200 Wins when her Lady Wolverines beat Whiteface 51-49 on November 9, 2010. Team members include: Jacy York, Randi Roberson, Julia Vasquez, Jackie Dyksterhuis, Balee McCurry, Reagan Miller, Areli Muniz, Ariel Ritchie, Jaimee Larkin, and Kaitlyn Dear.

Coach Been is in her 13th year as a head coach including 3 years at Hale Center and the last 9 years here at Springlake-Earth. She started her career as the Bovina assistant coach for one year then was the Hale Center assistant for seven years before becoming their head coach. Her most memorial moments include making the Regional Final while at Hale Center and coaching a D1 player, and the favorite by far was taking her SEHS team to the State Tourney in 2006 (and driving the yellow dog by herself to Austin!). She takes pride in the fact that SE Girls Basketball is back on the map! An unusual fact about Coach Been is that she coached the granddaughters (Kendra and Kamber Banks) of a player (Bobi Banks) that her grandfather, Ed Haley, coached!

Coach Been has coached four players that have gone on to play college basketball including Jametra Clark (Texas Tech), Isabel Morales (Wayland), Courtney Miller (SPC) and Leah Falcon (Frank Phillips).

When asked what she loves most about coaching, Coach Been replied that not only does she love teaching the game of basketball, but that she has made lifelong friends in the coaching world. However, her favorite part is the young lives she has touched and the blessings from them.

Congratulations, Coach Been!
