Mrs. Sue Haberer

 

Mrs. Haberer was the 1998-1999 State President of the Vocational Home Economics Teachers Association of Texas, which is the professional association for the Career and Technology Home Economics teachers in the state of Texas. This association represents the more than 3,000 teachers in Texas. The main purposes of VHETAT are to promote home economics and its related fields, to promote membership in the association, and to honor those of our profession who contributed to the success of education in home economics.

As President, Mrs. Haberer traveled across the state of Texas as a spokesperson for VHETAT. She also represented Texas and VHETAT at national education conventions.

Mrs. Haberer has been teaching Career and Technology Home Economics and speech for 26 years. She attended Monterey High School in Lubbock and graduated from Texas Tech University. She and her husband have a daughter attending Texas Tech, and a son attending South Plains College.
