The Gifted and Talented students listened to Roger Haberer of Earth discuss his memories from World War II. He told the students what it was like to participate in the war. He left the United States to fight in Europe and landed in Liverpool, England. Upon landing Mr. Haberer fought near Normandy, the sight of the famous D-day battle. Mr. Haberer helped the students realize what war is really like, and that it is not pretty. We greatly respect and thank Mr. Haberer for sharing his memories with all of the GT students.
