My name is Debby Weldon. I grew up here and attended S-E all 12 years. I was fortunate enough to play on a State Champion Basketball Team and be a member of an Outstanding Band during my high school years. I graduated in 1970 and attended Abilene Christian University, where I received a degree in Elementary Education/Kindergarten/PE, in 1973. I met Bill Weldon at ACU--he coached for three years at Jim Ned High School, while I was still in college. We married in Abilene on May 26, 1973. I taught one year at Lawn Elementary (1st grade, 5th-6th grade PE, and coached Junior High).

In 1974 we moved to Earth. Bill began farming and I was a housewife. We have raised three children here: Trey, who graduated from Lubbock Christian University and married Nanci Hardy Weldon. They have three children, J.T. (5th grade), Jordan (3rd grade), and Jayci (Kindergarten). Trey farms with Bill. Our daughter Tara graduated from LCU with a teaching degree and is married to a S-E and Tech graduate, Roy Mejia. He coaches and teaches Spanish at Holliday High School. Tara taught 5th-6th grade until Reagan, their son, was born. She is staying home with him now and they spend time going to Daddy's ballgames! Reagan's favorite thing to do is "Play Ball" like cousin J.T.! Our other daughter, Tiffany, graduated from LCU as a social worker and loves to spoil Reagan! Tiffany married Clayton Womack on July 22, 2006. They live in Wichita Falls, and he is an EMT, and she is a social worker.

My favorite thing to do is play whatever the kids want to! I love sports and working outside in my yard. I came back to teaching in 1984 after staying home with my children. I have been teaching Kindergarten in the same room for 22 years. I taught Tiffany, J.T., and Jordan. Jayci will be here with her "Dede" next year for Kindergarten!

Our family are members of the Earth Church of Christ where Bill is an Elder, Trey is a Deacon/songleader, and Nanci and I teach Bible Classes.
