Alan Been's family consists of his wife Kathy, who teaches high school special education at S-E, and their sons, Quentin and Justin. Alan has taught high school vocational agriculture since 1984 and began teaching here in 2000. He received both his bachelors and masters degrees in Ag Education from Texas Tech. He currently teaches AgScience grades 9-12.His favorite saying is "Lead, follow, or get out." His hobbies include kids and animals.

Kathy Been received both her bachelors and masters degrees in Ag Education from Texas Tech. She began her teaching career in 1984 and came to S-E in 2000 as our high school content mastery and resource teacher.

She is married to Alan Been, our Vocational Agriculture teacher. They have two sons, Quentin, who is a freshman, and Justin, who is a third grader.

Kathy enjoys yardwork as well as reading John Grisham books. Her favorite movie is Lonesome Dove, and she enjoys eating Mexican food.


Stan Caffey joined the Springlake-Earth faculty as head football coach in the fall of 2006. Although he was born in Turkey, Texas, he was raised in Seminole. He began teaching in 1977 after graduating from Sul Ross State with a Bacholor of Science degree. He received his Masters of Education degree in 2002. His teaching fields include English, health, and all level PE. Presently he is teaching English II, health, TAKS ELA prep, and boys athletics.

His family includes his wife Becky Lynn, sons Jeff, 29, and David, 25, and daughter Meredith, 23. His favorite author is Louis L'amour and T-bone steak is his favorite food. "Work wins" is a favorite saying, and he enjoys working in the yard and reading.
