NCA RIBBONS AND AWARDS
RIBBONS
Superior - (Blue) - A team who displays strong technuque, leads the crowd well, performs with no noticeable mistakes.
Excellent - (Red) - A team who displays good technique but had one or two small mistakes.
Outstanding - (White) - A team who displays the NCA standard of cheering with good timing and precision. Still needs work on perfecting arm motions, jump techniques, climbing techniques, and memory.
SPIRIT STICK
The spirit sticks are presented to the squads showing the most sincere spirit and enthusiasm for the day, while taking into account attitude during classes, promptness, cooperation, relationships with other squads, leadership, etc.
TECHNIQUE CERTIFICATES
Certificates will be awarded for motions, jumps, and stunts.
BID FOR NCA NATIONAL EVENTS
Awarded to squads who exemplify competitive Cheerleading ability and score at least 55 points during Home Cheer Qualification.
HERKIE T.E.A.M. TROPHY
Awarded to the one squad that shows true team spirit, unity, and leadership throughout the week.
TOP TEAM AWARD
Awarded to the squads that exemplify the best cheerleading technique and ability to motivate their crowd to yell. The NCA staff will select teams to compete for this award on the last day of camp.
ALL-AMERICAN NOMINEE
Selected by the NCA Instructors, these outstanding individuals display superior Cheerleading techniques in any of the following areas: jumps, tumbling, stunting, crowd skills and motion technique, leadership, and dance. These individuals will have the opportunity to tryout for the NCA All-American Team.
All-AMERICAN CHEERLEADER TEAM
Outstanding individuals who exemplify the best cheerleading standards at camp. This award is based on a standard score sheet and is not a competition.
NCA BEST CHEERLEADER MEDAL
Awarded to the top All-American Team member at camp.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERSHIP PLAQUE
Awarded to the individual that displays excellence in leadership throughout the week an din Captain's Class.
SPIRIT AWARD
Voted on by all squads at camp, as the squad who has added the most spirit to the camp all week.
