Dear Soldier,

I am so glad that you are over there fighting for our country.  I just want to tell you that you have all of our support here.

I am in the eighth grade at Springlake-Earth Jr. High.  I enjoy playing football.  I am the wide receiver, the cornerback, and the kick returner.  I am on the first offense and defense teams.  During our after school practices, I have made a lot of catches on offense.  On defense I have made a lot of interceptions and tackles.  During one game we punted it to the other team, and it hit his foot and bounced off.  Then I dove on it, and we got the ball!  In another game I also ran the ball for about fifty yards on the kickoff return.  That was one of the best things that I have ever done in football.

I am glad that you are willing to give up your time with your family and all of your friends, and to us that means a lot.
