Lincoln Douglas Debate

Contestants:

Lincoln-Douglas Debate provides excellent training for development of skills in argumentation, persuasion, research, and audience analysis. Through this contest, students are encouraged to develop a direct and communicative style of delivery. This debate was a one-on-one argumentation in which debaters attempted to convince the judge of the acceptability of their side of a proposition. One debater argued the affirmative side of the resolution, and one debater argued the negative side of the resolution in a given round.

Congratulations to:

Allison - 1st place

Jared - 5th place

Allison will be competing at the Regional Contest in Levelland on

April 14th.

Coach: Mrs. Barbara Huckabee
